Welcome to Soul of the Lotus®

Root. Realign. Reconnect. Rise.

Transformation isn’t a destination—it’s a living, breathing journey. A path of deep healing, embodied growth, and radical self-discovery. I don’t just guide this journey—I walk it alongside you.

Who I Am & What I Do

I’m Caroline McGrath, LPC, NCC—a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Trauma-Informed Breathwork & HypnoBreathwork® Facilitator, Certified Somatic Jungian Coach, Certified TRE® Provider, and founder of Soul of the Lotus®.

I bridge science and soul, guiding individuals through life’s sacred thresholds. From teens and young adults navigating stress, school pressures, and life transitions, to women in midlife reclaiming their truth and power, to healers and cycle-breakers seeking restoration and embodied wholeness, I walk beside you as you reconnect with your mind, body, and soul.

My work is not about perfection—it’s about raw, authentic, embodied transformation. I integrate trauma-informed therapy, somatic healing, breathwork, subconscious reprogramming, inner child work, and coaching to help you navigate life’s challenges, regulate your nervous system, and reclaim your authentic power.

Healing isn’t something that happens to you—it’s something you activate within yourself. My role is to hold sacred space for your evolution, guide you through the storm, and remind you that your breath is the catalyst for deep transformation.

My Approach: Where Science Meets Soul

Healing is messy, cyclical, and deeply personal. It’s not about fixing what’s broken—it’s about unraveling what no longer serves you, reclaiming your truth, and reawakening your innate wisdom.

I blend psychology, neuroscience, and somatics with the depth of breathwork, hypnotherapy, and soul-centered transformation so that healing is fully embodied, not just understood intellectually.

Modalities I Integrate:

  • Somatic Healing & Nervous System Regulation — Transformation begins in the body, not just the mind.

  • Trauma-Informed Breathwork & HypnoBreathwork® — Access your subconscious, release stored trauma, and reconnect with your deepest self.

  • Hypnotherapy & Inner Child Healing — Heal core wounds and reprogram limiting patterns.

  • Jungian Coaching & Depth Psychology — Explore symbolic layers of the psyche for soul-level insight.

  • TRE® (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) — Release deep muscular tension and stored trauma.

  • Subconscious Reprogramming & Spiritual Embodiment — Align mind, body, and soul with your highest truth.

This integrative approach moves beyond surface-level change, helping you release old patterns, restore nervous system balance, and step fully into your authentic power.

How I Support You

  • 1:1 Trauma-Informed Therapy — Teens, young adults, and adults receive personalized care integrating somatic healing and nervous system regulation.

  • Breathwork & HypnoBreathwork Sessions (1:1 + Groups) — Trauma-informed journeys to release emotional blocks, regulate your nervous system, and access clarity, embodiment, and inner peace.

  • Coaching & Mentoring (1:1 + Groups) — Forward-focused, body-based guidance to release trauma, rewire limiting beliefs, and step confidently into your next chapter.

Who I Work With

I support clients ready for deep, transformational work:

  • Teens & Young Adults navigating stress, life transitions, school pressures, and social challenges.

  • Women in Midlife stepping into awakening, reclamation, and purposeful transformation.

  • Professionals, Healers, & Leaders seeking embodied growth, nervous system regulation, and soulful clarity.

  • Cycle-Breakers & Soul-Seekers ready to reclaim truth, power, and wholeness.

Not every young person or adult needs full therapy. For some, coaching provides tools, mentorship, and a safe space to process life transitions, helping them build resilience, clarity, and confidence.

Why I Do This Work

Because I’ve walked through the fire. I know the challenges of dysregulation, overwhelm, and transformation—and how to return to center, strength, and clarity.

I walk alongside you, offering practices, guidance, and presence that create sustainable change. Healing isn’t about never struggling—it’s about how we repair, realign, and evolve.

✨ My Mission: Awakening Souls, Healing Generations ✨

Your Evolution Starts Here

You don’t have to do this alone. Whether through therapy, coaching, breathwork, or retreats, I’m here to guide you home—to yourself.

Your breath is the catalyst, your body holds the wisdom, and your soul knows the way.

Are you ready to begin?

About Caroline

I’m Caroline McGrath, LPC, NCC — a licensed therapist, trauma-informed breathwork facilitator, somatic coach, and guide through the journey of embodied healing. Beyond credentials, I’ve walked the path myself and understand what it’s like to navigate life’s transitions, challenges, and awakenings.

My story begins like many: my parents divorced when I was a teenager, teaching me early how to navigate change, grief, and the complexities of family dynamics. Those experiences shaped me deeply, and over time, I’ve done my own inner healing around the ways family systems influence us. While much of this work has been personal, my healing has also unfolded alongside my family, as we’ve grown together through forgiveness, compassion, and reconnection.

After college, I moved away from home — first to Arizona, then Alaska, and eventually Maui, Hawaii, where my soul found sanctuary. In these new landscapes, I discovered independence, built lifelong friendships that became family, and experienced the profound power of resilience, self-discovery, and community.

Later, life brought new transformations. Marriage and motherhood reshaped my world, asking me to let go of certain aspects of my independence while integrating my identity, purpose, and values into this new chapter. Now in midlife, I continue to navigate the ongoing unraveling and growth that life brings — peeling back each layer through inner child work, breathwork, somatic healing, and soul-centered practices. I strive to stand in my authenticity, even when visibility feels risky, modeling courage, vulnerability, and self-trust.

The ocean has become my sanctuary — a place to reset, reconnect, and find clarity. Its rhythm reminds me that healing is a flow, not a destination, and it inspires the work I do with my clients every day.

Through therapy, coaching, and somatic practices, I guide teens, young adults, and women in midlife to reconnect with their mind, body, and soul — to break free from old patterns and limitations, uncover their inner strength, and step into a life aligned with their authentic truth.

Healing isn’t about perfection — it’s about remembering who you are, reclaiming your power, and embracing your evolution. I walk beside you as you root into your inner self, rise through your challenges, and reclaim your authentic life.

Finding Balance & Nourishing the Soul

One of my most sacred self-care rituals is returning to the Hawaiian Islands — especially Maui, where I first planted my roots in my twenties. The islands carry a rhythm, a spirit, and a healing energy that continually awakens my soul. It’s where I reconnect to who I am beneath it all.

After years of traveling and living in different places, I found my home in Oregon. While the Oregon coast and Hawaii are vastly different, both hold a wild, transformative beauty that grounds me, inspires me, and connects me to something greater.

We all need spaces that nourish our spirit — places or practices that bring us back to ourselves. Whether it’s the ocean, the mountains, a quiet room, or a mindful breath beneath the sky, these moments become our anchor and our medicine.

Life is richer with spontaneity, soulful travel, and time with loved ones. Adventures with my husband, our two spirited boys, our beloved pup, and dear friends bring joy and connection into my days. We honor mental health days — stepping away from the busyness to breathe, reset, and simply be.

If mental health days aren’t yet part of your rhythm, I invite you to begin now. Rest and reconnection aren’t luxuries — they’re essential for your nervous system, your clarity, and your well-being.

Balancing care for others with care for myself is an ongoing practice. Self-care isn’t always effortless, but it’s necessary. To hold space for others, we must first tend to the space within ourselves.

I walk this path not only as a guide but as a fellow human committed to healing, wholeness, and living authentically — constantly learning, unlearning, and expanding along the way.

The ocean is my sanctuary…

a place where I reconnect, recharge, rejuvenate, and find inner peace.

Why Soul of the Lotus

The lotus flower begins its growth from its roots deep in the mud and murky waters of the earth, far away from the sun. With perseverance, the lotus continues to rise up through the mud and the muck, emerges from the water, rises up to the light of the sun, and blossoms into the world.

The lotus offers hope and strength to those struggling in their daily lives. It shows us that we too, as humans, can rise up from the “mud” in our own lives, overcome difficulties, and connect to the light that radiates within us.

As living beings, I view humans in the same light as the lotus and work from this framework with my clients. I offer my clients a safe space to explore their uniqueness as they begin and continue their process of growth. By being present with my clients, I support them as they navigate and pave their way through the hardships and struggles they are encountering.

Using one’s own innate healing wisdom, we are able to to release, heal, grow, and transform. We are able to root into our inner self, heal from the inside out, align with our highest self, and transform into who we are meant to be in this lifetime. This process allows the discovery of inner strength, self-love, and the emergence into one’s true, authentic self.

Therapeutic Background ::

I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark Graduate School, with a specialized focus on working with children, adolescents, and adults. Over the past two decades, I’ve supported individuals across a wide range of life experiences — offering both individual and group therapy to help clients navigate trauma, transitions, and emotional healing.

My work has included supporting children, teens, and adults facing anxiety, depression, grief, divorce, trauma, self-worth struggles, and family system challenges. I’ve had the honor of guiding clients through moments of deep pain and into spaces of resilience, clarity, and reconnection with themselves.

In addition to private practice, I’ve served in shelter and residential treatment settings, supporting youth with complex emotional and behavioral needs, as well as teens recovering from substance use and adult women healing from addiction in inpatient programs. These experiences shaped my trauma-attuned approach and affirmed my belief in each person’s capacity for transformation.

My work is rooted in compassion, clinical depth, and soul-centered care — always honoring the unique journey each client brings. I meet people where they are and walk with them as they reclaim their strength, their truth, and their sense of wholeness.

Therapeutic Approach ::

My approach is holistic, trauma-attuned, and heart-centered — offering a safe, supportive space where healing can unfold at its own pace. I believe we all hold the innate wisdom to heal; sometimes, we just need a steady guide, compassionate reflection, and the right tools to return to ourselves.

Whether you're moving through a major life transition, navigating anxiety or burnout, or simply longing to reconnect with your authentic self — therapy can be a powerful container for transformation.

Rooted in somatic healing and nervous system regulation, my work goes beyond surface-level solutions. I support individuals and families in tending to the emotional, physical, and spiritual layers of their experience — helping them move from survival patterns into embodied resilience.

My style is collaborative, warm, and intuitive — often infused with presence, curiosity, and yes, even a bit of humor when it brings relief. For teens and young adults especially, therapy becomes a space to feel seen, understood, and empowered to express what words alone can’t always capture.

No matter where you are in your journey, you don’t have to walk it alone. Together, we’ll create space for the healing, clarity, and reconnection your soul is asking for.

A Foundation of Inclusion + Belonging

I believe every person deserves to feel seen, valued, and safe in the therapeutic space. At the heart of my practice is a deep commitment to cultivating belonging — where your identity, lived experience, and truth are honored fully.

Rooted in an anti-oppressive, social justice framework, my work is guided by respect for the diverse identities and intersections that shape who we are. I continuously engage in my own unlearning, reflection, and education to ensure that the space we co-create remains inclusive, affirming, and deeply honoring of your humanity.

Coaching Approach ::

Throughout my work as a therapist, I’ve witnessed clients break through emotional barriers and evolve into empowered, authentic versions of themselves. This deep transformation sparked my passion for coaching and breathwork—powerful tools for self-discovery, growth, and lasting change.

While therapy lays the foundation, coaching offers a forward-focused, intentional space for transformation. Whether you’re a parent balancing life’s demands, a professional navigating career shifts, or someone seeking deeper alignment with your purpose, coaching provides clarity, structure, and accountability to confidently step into your next chapter.

Our coaching journey blends introspection with action. Together, we uncover subconscious patterns, rewire limiting beliefs, and create soul-aligned strategies that propel you forward. Coaching isn’t just about external goals—it’s about reclaiming your inner power, embracing your fullest potential, and living with resilience, authenticity, and purpose.

Empowered Transformation

I’ve had the honor of guiding clients through life’s most profound transitions—breaking free from intergenerational cycles, navigating career shifts, uncovering authentic purpose, overcoming imposter syndrome, and stepping boldly into new chapters. Whether launching a private practice, moving through relationship changes, welcoming a new baby, or redefining personal and professional goals, I support you with clarity, confidence, and compassion.

In coaching, I integrate diverse modalities to meet your journey from multiple angles. This holistic, dynamic approach empowers you to break through limitations, shifting from uncertainty to deep trust, resilience, and aligned action.

Are you ready to step beyond your comfort zone and create the life you’ve always envisioned? I believe you are—and I’m here to help you unlock your inner power, embody your evolution, and live in full alignment with your highest self.
